LIGHT SUSSEX

Hi
I have a 5 month old light sussex cockerel, who has started staggering around with the last few days, sits down gets up and seems rather shaky on his feet, he seems to be eating and drinking fine, hope somebody can help me out and tell me what this may be, he is in very good condition any info appreciated :?

    Hi Dave. Can you tell me when he stands are his legs splayed out at odd angles and the whole shank of the leg touching the ground. John

    Yes that is what is happening with him, and he staggers as if drunk

    I'm afraid he's got marek's disease. There's no cure for it. He will never recover from it. The only answer is to cull him.

    Not to be an alarmist, but isn't Marek's disease highly contagious?

    yes it is, culled it like john said and i have replaced him wit another sussex cock :D
