Disinfecting Chicken House

Hi there,
Just wondering can anyone suggest a good disinfectant for my chicken house. It's a plywood house that I made myself and I realise that mites can live in these.
Cheers,
Jon.

    Hi Jon,

We just use Jeyes Fluid, we keep it watered down and use a sprayer so it's not too wet and not using too much.......Tom.

Hi, what about the range of powders on the market for killing & preventing mites & other parasites? I dust my coop with one of these every time I change the chooks bedding (which is aprox every 5 days). I am not sure if I'm doing the right thing but I've never had problems with mites in all the yrs I've had chooks.
