at what stage?
how important is it?
dangers if you dont ect?
just done mine at day ten
4 clear out of 40 is this a normal?

    Well VInnie. 4 out of 40 is brilliant. You should have seen a dark spot with veins running true the egg. Clear eggs are all duds and anything with a red ring running the circumference of the egg is also dead. The only thing to watch out for is leaving clear eggs in the incubator as they can explode. Big mess every where and the smell. I'll have a look for a good guide with pictures later. I'll post it up later

    Vinnie if you go onto the brinsea website and go to free dowloads, User instruction, There's a incubation handbook avabile. In there is a fairly good guide as to what to look for and when you should see it. Hope that helps.

    3 completly clear one with ring around egg have all the duds removed will candle again at 18 days
    when stop turning with a bit of luck will all still be okay
    know about the smell got duck eggs given to me last year set them in the evening the next morning the stink was woeful
    out of 18 eggs 3 hatched only 5 any good the same guy is selling eggs for eating

    card board cup from an egg box and big lamp does the job fine for my needs
    the real thing would be a more intense light and probly better

    Yea, i seen the proper yokes on fleabay but i just use a torch with a bit of ply with an inch hole drilled in it
