sick rooster rattle from his chest..!!!

Hi all !
i have a pure breed R.i.r rooster.
he sounds very chesty and there is a constant rattle coming from his chest, thus i am assuming this is a respiratory tract infection. there is also a yellow / green discharge coming from his cloaca.
i was wondering what could i give him for this as the last thing i want to do is kill him. !!
any help would be much appreciated.

    GO TO YOUR LOCAL VET AND HE/SHE WILL KNOW WHAT TO USE, IT's YOUR SAFEST BET..........Tom.

    reading and reading the more i read the more i see just how much people on here realy know about poultry yea go to the vet or try the doctor
