Hi,
Very new to the chicken keeping world :) just learning as we go along. Bought 6 Black rock hens a few weeks ago, who have just started laying. Its such a treat to have our own eggs in the morning.
Only problem so far is trying to keep the chickens out of the potato bed :|

    Ha! They do get into the places we don't want them... If your hens are anything like my bluebell, a 3foot fence will keep them out. But it doesn't stop my leghorns though! Perhaps a bit of bird netting over the whole bed if it's not too large?
    Enjoy your freshly laid eggs, there's nothing to compare!
